Hi, I'm Catherine Thairu, born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. I’m an extroverted, reliable, and inquisitive person who loves diving into new tech trends and marketing insights. My passion for technology and marketing led me to transition from a background in aviation to digital marketing in 2023, where I found my true calling. Before diving into marketing, I spent two years working at JKIA Airport and in a travel agency, helping clients with their travel plans, assisting passengers through check-in, and handling crucial documentation like aircraft parking. But my passion for tech and marketing kept pulling me toward new opportunities, so I decided to pivot my career and fully immerse myself in the world of digital marketing. I began my formal education in marketing with IIDE in India, learning from home. During my studies, I gained expertise in Google Ads, influencer marketing, social media management, CRO, CRM, SEO, and more. I hold certifications in SEO from HubSpot and Google Analytics. I also developed hands-on skills in managing paid ads across all social media platforms, chatbot development, and integrating AI into marketing to stay ahead of today’s trends. I even pursued further business insights through Harvard Business School, which added valuable knowledge to my marketing expertise. After completing my education at IIDE, I interned for one month at IIDE, where I gained hands-on experience in social media management, SEO, UGC content, and creating engaging blogs. My journey then led me to Videogram Agency, where I worked with 6 clients, managing social media presence, content creation, ads, and email marketing, all while ensuring a high return on investment (ROI) for their paid ads on Facebook and Instagram. I also freelanced and worked as a community manager and marketer for SkillHub Agency, where I continued to develop my skills and deliver results for clients. I’m passionate about creating tailored marketing solutions, whether through AI-powered campaigns, effective content strategies, or social media management.
